Ron began his career in 1991 as a Financial Services Advisor with MetLife in Atlanta, Georgia, specializing in life insurance and retirement planning. In 1999, he returned to Erie to join Erie Insurance Group's Human Resources department, where he spearheaded diversity recruitment and community outreach initiatives. Recognizing the need to cultivate talent and create pathways into the insurance industry, Ron founded NAIP in 2004 to support workforce development and insurance literacy across the nation. A graduate of Gannon University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management, Ron's extensive background includes roles in both public and private sectors, encompassing management, supervisory responsibilities, and program development. His career journey began in recruiting and progressed through corporate and agency training roles, eventually leading him to positions as an agency manager and financial advisor, with qualifications through FINRA and the SEC. Driven by a passion for empowering entrepreneurs and businesses, Lafayette transitioned to the private sector, where he applied his extensive knowledge to deliver innovative tools and strategies for success. As the founder of Crawford Business Consulting, Lafayette grew the firm into an A+ rated and accredited leader in business strategy consulting. Under his guidance, the firm expanded its client portfolio and achieved high client satisfaction, helping countless small businesses thrive. His commitment to small business advocacy is further reflected in his role as a Leadership Council member for the National Small Business Association, where he represents Georgia’s small business community and influences policies nationwide. Beyond his professional accomplishments, Lafayette is an active community leader. He serves as Co-Chair of Deacons at Snellville Christian Church and as an Assistant Instructor at Choe’s Hapkido Grayson.
